You had the worst start possible. You were born,
just outside the entrance of the stable. When I came to check on all
the goats, I saw you lying there in the cold and in the rain. I tried
to encourage Diana to clean you up, in the hope that this also would
warm you up. But she was so confused that she didn't know what to do
with you and your sister.
I moved you, your sister and your mother to the other stable. Tried
to warm you up by placing you in warm water. I also tried to force feed
you the milk from your mother. All with no success. At the end of the
day, I placed a lamp above you and your sister. This helped, because
that night, you managed to drink some of Diana's milk.
In the morning things weren't looking that bright at all. So I called the vet,
the assistent advised me to by some extra feedingmilk. And that made
all the difference. You are know standing, not stable, but every moment
a little bit longer. You even tried to drink with your mother, but she rejects
you at the moment. We will see if we can persuade her to accept you.
But, for the moment, we focus getting you stronger and stronger.(16
